Academics

We aim to equip our students with a comprehensive foundation of skills across all subjects.

This will enable them to grow to be independent and confident. We also aim to impart and develop character traits that will equip each student with life skills.

Early Years and Primary Education

Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) program is based on four key themes:
  1. A Unique Child
  2. Positive Relationships
  3. Enabling Environments
  4. Learning and Development
  1. Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  2. Physical Development
  3. Communication and Language
  1. Literacy
  2. Mathematics
  3. Understanding the World
  4. Expressive Arts and Design

Primary

Primary consists of Key Stage One (Year 1 & 2) and Key Stage Two (Year 3 – 6). Students follow the Cambridge Primary curriculum for Maths, English and Science. These are assessed using End of Unit tests, which culminate in the end of primary Checkpoint.

The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) supplements our academic learning with the Humanities, Arts and STEM subjects. This enhances enquiry-based learning through themes of learning that cover ‘Chocolate’ to ‘Mars’ and ‘The Olympics’.

Personalized Learning and Support

Every student has their own set of unique abilities. Our Learning Support program embraces the Universal Design for Learning model. This seeks to develop each student’s particular competencies and support where necessary, or extend them when they have mastered a concept.

When necessary, we may refer students for further educational assessments to ensure they receive the best possible support.
